Frequently asked questions tattooremoval | Frankfurt Wiesbaden

Cost of tattoo removal

The cost depends on the size of the area to be treated. For larger tattoos, we will be happy to provide you with an individual quote before treatment begins. As a rule, you pay per treatment, but there are also treatment packages reduced in price.

What should be considered before treatment?

Avoid the blazing sun and solarium visits for some time before the start of the treatment. If the skin is pale, the risk of pigmentation disorders due to the treatment is minimal. Some medications can significantly increase sensitivity to light. Therefore, please let us know if you regularly take medication.

What about the treatment during pregnancy?

Laser tattoo removal should not be performed during pregnancy and breastfeeding. The treatment can be continued after breastfeeding without any problems.

What should be considered after treatment?

Immediately after the treatment, the lasered area is protected with a cream and a bandage or plaster. In the next few days a crust will form, blistering is also possible. Make sure that the area is protected from friction. Once the crust has fallen off, you can leave off the plaster and use an oily wound ointment for care.

What risks are there?

Blisters may appear after the treatment. A crust, which falls off by itself after about two to three weeks, also develops. With well-punctured tattoos with an average amount of color, the risk of scarring is very low. The laser, which was specially developed for tattoos, with a very short pulse duration, prevents scarring, as the skin is only heated for an extremely short time.

How often do you have to treat?

With a profit tattoo you should go out definitely from 4 to 6 treatments. The more color a tattoo contains or the fresher it is, the more treatments are required. Pale, old or self-tattooed tattoos can be gone even after 3 to 4 treatments. On the other hand, very dark and deep tattoos may also require over 10 treatments.

How does the removal of the paint work?

If the color is superficial, some of the color is repelled with the crust after lasering. A large part of the dissolved color pigments is transported away via the lymphatic channels. The removal of the color can be accelerated by lymph drainage, which we also offer. For this it is necessary to carry out the lymphatic drainage for at least half an hour after the treatment.

Is the tattoo removal painful?

The pain of a single laser pulse is similar to the pain of stinging the tattoo. Upon request, a trial shot at the skin can be given during the consultation so that you can gain an impression of the treatment.

Why does not the treatment work so well with yellow, white, red or metallic tattoo ink?

Because they do not absorb the laser light, but rather reflect it. The color particles can not be destroyed by the laser.
