Tattoo Removal FAQ Frankfurt Wiesbaden

Cost of tattoo removal

The costs depend on the size of the area to be treated. For larger tattoos, we will gladly make you an individual estimate before the start of treatment. As a rule, you pay per treatment. There are also reduced treatment packages in the price.

What should be considered before treatment?

Avoid the blazing sun and solarium visits some time before the start of treatment. If the skin is pale, the risk of pigmentation through treatment is minimal.

Some medicines can increase the photosensitivity significantly. Please let us know if you take regular medications.

What about the treatment during pregnancy?

During pregnancy and while breastfeeding, laser tattoo removal should not be performed. The treatment can be continued after breastfeeding without any problems.

What should be considered after treatment?

Immediately after treatment, the lasered site is protected with a cream and bandage or plaster. In the next few days, a crust forms, even blistering is possible. Make sure that the point is protected from friction. Once the crust has dropped, you can skip the patch and use a greasy ointment for grooming.

What risks are there?

Blisters may appear after treatment. Also, a crust develops, which falls off by itself after about 2 to 3 weeks.

For well-tattooed tattoos with an average amount of color the risk of scarring is very low. The specially developed laser for tattoos with a very short pulse duration prevents scarring, since the skin is heated only extremely short.

How often do you have to treat?

With a profit tattoo you should go out definitely from 4 to 6 treatments. The more color a tattoo contains or the fresher it is, the more treatments are required. Pale, old or self-tattooed tattoos can be gone even after 3 to 4 treatments. On the other hand, very dark and deep tattoos may also require over 10 treatments.

How does the removal of the paint work?

If the color is superficial, some of the color is repelled with the crust after lasering. A large part of the dissolved color pigments is transported away via the lymphatic channels. The removal of the color can be accelerated by lymph drainage, which we also offer. For this it is necessary to carry out the lymphatic drainage for at least half an hour after the treatment.

Is the tattoo removal painful?

The pain of a single laser pulse is similar to the pain of stinging the tattoo. Upon request, a trial shot at the skin can be given during the consultation so that you can gain an impression of the treatment.

Why does not the treatment work so well with yellow, white, red or metallic tattoo ink?

Because they do not absorb the laser light, but rather reflect it. The color particles can not be destroyed by the laser.
